When is the Time to Love?

How often I have read about what love is.
More important though, is what love does.

It is easy to love the prettiest one in the room.
But everyone gets older and that happens too soon.

It is easy to love if someone takes care of you,
but what happens if they are not able to?

It is easy to love for richness and fame.
Yet everyone knows that is all just a game.

For love that is certain and love that is true,
it is not what they say, but instead what they do.

When times are tough and nothing goes right.
Do they give you more troubles or stand by your side?

If there is little or nothing available to share.
Do they leave you alone or do they stay right near?

Someone that truly loves you,
loves no matter what has been.

How love becomes stronger,
is a matter of when.
